From the Home Studio of Anita Stevens
Gemstones and crystals are among the most ancient items on our planet. They are created deep within the heat and pressures of the core of the Earth and take millions of years to form and make their way close enough to the surface to be mined or found.
Sharing with and teaching others about the wonder, mysteries, and legends of our natural resources brings me joy.
From my small Colorado studio, each new piece I create - whether it be from gemstones, crystals, seashells, pearls, wood, seed pods, or metals - brings a new appreciation of the wonders of the Universe.
Join me on a journey through the ages and discover which pieces tell your unique story.

RHODONITE FAN WITH BLACK ONYX SPACER STONES
Spiky things intrigue me – spiky flowers, spiky gemstones, spiky hair, etc. When I saw Rhodonite points offered as this fan design, I immediately wanted to pair it with the Black Onyx spacer stones. The dark pink color and the black inclusions of manganese oxide complement each other perfectly.
I’m also drawn to Rhodonite because of the metaphysical properties it possesses. Pink stones generally promote the vibration of love. The Book of Stones tells us that Rhodonite is also a stone of learning and development, helping to perceive where one’s talents lie. Its elements are
Fire and Earth.
PERIDOT AND AMETHYST WITH BUTTERFLY FOCAL
When I saw this butterfly focal piece, the shimmer of light green with the darker purple immediately gave me a vision of a Peridot/Amethyst combination. I wanted to create a piece that had such a striking visual effect that it would immediately draw interest from my dream client.
Since ancient times, Peridot has symbolized the Sun and light. It is a stone of prosperity and carries the frequency of abundance. Because it is associated with light, it is believed to have the power to repel the darkness of evil.
The Book of Stones tells us Peridot is an Elven stone and can be used to communicate with fairy realms and Nature's Spirits of all kinds.
PICTURE JASPER FAN
Jaspers are one of the most abundant types of stones on our planet and is found all over the world. Jasper is a variety of Quartz. There is a wide variety of Jaspers: Red Jasper, Rainforest Jasper, Ocean Jasper, and Unakite Jasper, among others. The type of Jasper is determined by the type of inclusions found within the stone.
This necklace is made using Picture Jasper - one of the most powerful and mysterious forms of the stone. The ancients said Picture Jasper was Mother Earth speaking to her children with secrets hidden in the pictures and lines of the stones. Known for its grounding and nurturing properties, Picture Jasper helps bring a sense of balance and harmony to its wearer.
