HISTORICAL:
Traditionally, Tiger Eye has been caried as a talisman against ill wishes and curses.* It is an ancient stone - mysterious and powerful, revered, and even feared – believed to be an “all-seeing all-knowing” eye that granted its wearer the ability to observe everything.

The Egyptians chose Tiger Eye for the eyes in their deity statues to express divine vision. With its gold tone representing the sun and the brown tones symbolizing the land, it was believed to provide the protection of the sun (Ra, the Sun god), and the Earth (Geb – God of the land) combined.**

It has been highly regarded throughout history as a stone of prosperity and good fortune.**

METAPHYSICAL:
According to The Book of Stones, Tiger Eye is a stone of vitality, practicality, and physical action. It is a stone of mental clarity and focused intention.

The distinct golden and brown color bands in Tiger Eye represent balance – helping us to see and understand the existence of a paradox.  We can understand seemingly contradicting ideas and accept that duality without judgement of favoring one over the other.

As a stone of balance, it assists in moving us out of duality – of right and wrong, good and bad, dark and light – and into the realm where all polarities are expressions of the single Source.
It carries the frequency of creation – of sunlight upon soil.***

TIGER EYE GODDESS CRYSTALS:
Tiger’s Eye is associated with a powerful group of Goddesses across multiple cultures:

Bast (Bastet), the Egyptian Cat Goddess of the Sun’s Blessings.  She is the creator of perfumes and oils. She rules over love, fertility, sensuality, music, and is the divine mother of cats and the magical power they contain.

Frejya (Freya), the Norse Goddess of Beauty and Love. Offen depicted as being driven in a chariot pulled by cats, she watches over the souls of fallen warriors, reuniting them with their loved ones in the afterlife.

Sekhmet, the Egyptian Goddess of War, depicted as a lion headed woman. She is the most powerful Goddess of Lower Egypt, embodying strength and transformation.

Persephone, the Greek Goddess of Spring, honored through gold color crystals like Tiger Eye. She represents celebration and the Earth coming alive with new growth.**
